Here's hoping everyone is enjoying their July 4th celebrations and fireworks. We started the evening with tapas at a tapas bar near our hotel. It was too early for dinner (8:30...goodness, what will we do when we get back to Jax?), but not too early to order some yummy apps. We made Chris order, and Zoe enjoyed the local cerveza...

We also had the opportunity to take a little walk between tapas and dinner and took a picture with the Cristobal Colon statue...it's been a Christopher Columbus kind of day.
We ended up eating at Piquio Restaurant - which was next door to Pan & Company, hee hee! - and it ended up being a perfectly yummy choice!

as the night wore on....but finally the paella came.
all was good, until it was gone...
Around 10:50, the kiddos got punchy...ok, the kiddos and Chris...
and it was time to head for more ice cream (for them) and cerveza (for me) before heading to the hotel. It was the perfect Santander July 4th. Much love y'all! Enjoy the fireworks for us! XOXO, Benderz
