What an incredibly fun night. We started out our evening wandering around the local supermarket - La Lupa...Zack and Zoe picked up some choco-thingies that turn milk into chocolate milk and leave chocolate pieces at the bottom of the glass. Ah...the power of advertising - even when you can't understand what anyone is saying.
Decent wine for $1.50? Craziness! 6-packs of beer for $3.00 - that's it, we're moving!
Zack even found an Iniesta sandwich keeper for his lunchbox next year! Score! Then we headed to the same tapas place we ate at last night for some more great apps, cerveza and vino.
Tuna and Estrella...yep, I could totally get used to this. Then we headed out to dinner with (UF Alum and current Jax USACE employee) Jason Engle and his wife Dawn. We ended up at the same restaurant we ate at last night and the paella was just as yummy tonight! Both kids got pasta, but the Engles got Tablas Mixta - and the kids and I tried lamb for the first time ever. Great food and fabulous company! It made for a fantastic night out!
Afterwards, the kids started to show their 11:00 craziness...
...which we of course rewarded with more ice cream and pastries...
We are looking forward to our last day in Santander tomorrow. Chris moderates the last session of the conference and then has a late closing ceremony thingy from 9-midnight. Not sure what the kids and I will do...we're getting pretty brave :) Hugs from Santander. XOXO, Benderz
