There may have been a little foreshadowing in yesterday’s blog. We technically didn’t have plans for today - but there was a snorkeling/touring the coast boat cruise leaving at 2:30 with spots on it when we went to bed. And one thing about me, is if there is a boat to board, I’ll be on it. π
First things first, the closed doors made the bells nice to fall asleep to, but not loud enough to wake us up - win, win.
Chris got up at 8 and did a little run. He was kind enough to provide pics for all of us! What a crazy run!

He even found a waterfall 3 minutes from our apartment!

M.C. Escher spent some time in Atrani and some of his drawings are inspired by the alleyways and stairways in town. Atrani has a tiny museum dedicated to those works!

Meanwhile, I was enjoying an espresso in bed, watching the ocean. We all vacation different!

I did make sure we found him more pastries and a cappuccino again this morning.

Our Piazza was looking gorg this morning.

And we had a new mega yacht out in the Bay - we think this one was a cruise ship with 50 cabins. It was huge.

Our boat was leaving from Amalfi so we trekked over there again. The plan was to grab sandwiches at a place with a gluten free option so Zoe could enjoy as well.

Amalfi was hopping. Sunday scaries had not hit here!

The sandwiches at Luisa were huge and delicious. They had great gluten free and veggie options! Winner winner!

I think mine was the best - grilled zucchini, olives, fresh tomatoes and provolone and I added avocado. So good.

Do you see the lemon tree on the balcony?

We went and grabbed some gelato and walked with a purpose to the spot our boat was leaving from - but also got to see a bit more of Amalfi.

Selfie in Amalfi before the boat! Giancarlo was our captain and did an amazing job. There were two other couples on the boat with us - one honeymooners and one on a baby moon.

Ready to go!

The boat took us from Amalfi to Positano with two swim breaks and a bunch of quick stops to point out spots of interest. The best way to see the Amalfi Coast truly is from the water.

Lover’s Arch is a stone bridge between the rocks. Giancarlo told us that it became famous after couples started getting married on it and jumping in afterwards. It gave us an awesome backdrop for a family pic!

Crazy hotels and gorgeous towns and villages along the way.

Our first swimming spot was “near” a grotto. It was probably too far to swim in the time we had, but you can bet we did it. I didn’t go in the grotto, but I did swim there and back. In the ocean. I’m proud of me.

I did take a floaty. And don’t even feel bad about it.

When we got back on board, we had Canary Melon - kind of like cantaloupe but with more flavor, and more Prosecco.

We saw the Fiordo di Furore where Red Bull has hosted some cliff diving events. There was some talk from the young people about wanting to try it out but luckily Giancarlo kept driving.

Any day I get to be on a boat is a good day. This was one of the best in recent memory.
We saw our mega yacht friend from yesterday too!

We stopped again to swim near Positano. Zack immediately swam for the rocks while Giancarlo cautioned against diving because it was not deep enough. After some investigating by Zack, Chris and our honeymooning friends Elena and Brett, they decided these rocks needed to be jumped off of!

Then they needed to jump off our perfectly good boat! The people on the boats nearby and driving by clapped and cheered. Fun to watch them flip!

Back on the boat for the drive back and Limoncello!

Loved our time with Giancarlo. 10/10 - would absolutely recommend.

Lucky to share our time with Elena and Brett! When you join a boat cruise like this one, the other people on board are either going to make the cruise more awesome - or make you excited to get off. We loved spending part of their honeymoon with them!

After we got off the boat, we headed back into Amalfi to pick up a few things from our shopping yesterday,

And get more sandwiches π

Happy boys.

Then it was back to the apartment to get ready for dinner and watch the highlights of the F1 race. It’s in Monaco this weekend and if there had been a way to go, we would have been there! Monaco is my favorite track. Go Kimi!

The sky was looking extra gorgeous from our patio tonight. This was around the time that I started saying (with some tears) that I didn’t want to leave. It’s been a dream to be here - so excited to head to Greece next, but I could stay here forever.

Dinner tonight was at Le Palme. We waited for an outside table tonight and it was worth the wait.

While we were waiting, a procession from one church to the Piazza Umberto went by. They actually covered up the lady parts of one of the statues in the piazza in preparation.

Love these two. It’s been great to have everyone together!

Love him too. He’s definitely my better half.

The Caprese tour continues - but it may be the last stop! We added bruschetta tonight. Tomatoes definitely taste better here.

I finally got my lemon pasta. It was delish! Not quite as good as Chris’ tomato sauce - but delish! We shared π

Dinner selfie! π«Άπ»

The clocktower and bells and the result of the procession tonight.
Atrani has been the perfect home base on the Amalfi coast. We were a quick walk from Amalfi Town and a ferry from Positano. Tomorrow we have an early Uber to the Naples airport for our flight to Athens! Sad to say goodbye to this amazing place, but excited to see what comes next!!
XOXO, the Benderz
