Last dinner in Santander...

All week long, we'd been passing a little outdoor cafe while on our way to dinner, shopping, etc. Each time we went by, the waiter would tell us we needed to stop and eat. Finally tonight, Chris asked him if he could bring us cheese, bread and olives - once he said yes (and brought me a beer), I was in. Zack and Zoe also ordered a hamburger (that they didn't like) - and ended up eating my omlette and Chris' bean stew. I am forever thankful for my kids' tastebuds! So they set the kiddos up with boosters (two chairs piled together) and we were ready to eat.
Zack is looking at the Euro 2012 soccer cards that he bought earlier in the night. After dinner, the kids and I grabbed ice cream
...and then got Chris back to the hotel in time to catch his bus to his fancy dinner tonight.
The kids and I are settled down in the room, finishing a few books - then planning on watching some Disney in Espanol. Our deep thoughts for the night are...you can never, ever have enough ice cream...kids totally dig butt washers - we might have to consider investing in one...corn nuts are really yummy...the US does not have enough playgrounds...we're going to have to search specialty grocery stores for KAS limon. The conference has been fabulous for Chris. He comes back each day talking about the talks (I nod a lot), and excited to learn something new. While I don't understand much of what he's talking about, it's pretty cool to see him so excited! He had fun moderating today, and it's been neat to see random conference participants out and about in Santander. They announced the next two conferences...2014 is Seoul, Korea and 2016 is Istanbul, Turkey (with a couple extra days to visit the ruins in Greece perhaps...hmmmm). I have nothing but fabulous things to say about the organizers, the conference in general and the city of Santander. The whole thing gets 8 big Benderz thumbs up! Tomorrow, our car arrives at the hotel at 6:40 to take us to Bilbao, where we're boarding a flight to Barcelona. As long as the WIFI works, I'll blog from our hotel! XOXO, Benderz

  1. I agree with the bidet comment and AM installing one whenever we get to our bathroom redo. Also agreeing with the ice cream comment. Glad to hear Chris has learned a lot. Why isn't Michael attending THESE conferences?!?
