Dinner in Rome...Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and more gelato

After our siesta, we headed back out to see new things (and eat more awesome food) in Rome. We rode the Rome metro (and changed lines and everything! The Benderz rock mass transit!)...

To the Piazza del Polpolo. Before heading to stroll and shop on Via del Corso, the kiddos checked out some street acts and explored.

Then headed towards the stores. Zack found a new soccer ball and Zoe tried hard to buy flip flops (she forgot hers!). It was a beautiful walk with lots of great people watching. Then we were headed to dinner.

Dinner was at Ristorante Pizzeria Sacro e Profano tonight (and is housed in an old church.) The food and views were amazing...and (drum roll please....) I found a red wine I like! Italian miracle right there!

After dinner we walked to the Spanish Steps, where we got conned into buying roses. Rookie mistake!

And then back to the restaurant because Zack forgot his ball :(. No worries! It was there and then we were on our way to the Trevi Fountain. But first, more gelato!! If you're counting, the kids had gelato three different times today. Zack tried five flavors.

The Trevi Fountain is under construction but the kids threw Euros into the makeshift fountain, and made a wish!

We made a few wrong turns on the way home, but made it around 11. The restaurant on the balcony outside our hotel room and the bar below us are rocking! Such fun...as long as it doesn't last all night!! Hopefully everyone will sleep tonight and be bright eyed and bushy tailed for our adventure in Ostia tomorrow. The archaeology minor in me is ex-cit-ed! Thanks for following along, we miss y'all - but we're having a fabulous time!!

XOXO,
Benderz

Zack cleaned his plate tonight. So proud!
