Europe goes Volt - Day 7 - game vs Wolverhampton, long bus ride to London, dinner at Pizza Express

We started the morning with a quick trip into Wales. If you're this close to checking another country box, you do it. It was a short 10 minute bus ride to make it happen and Super Dave was happy to oblige. The boys were completely thrilled to get off the bus and take another picture. It made their day. Then we were on our way play the Wolverhampton Wanderers. Wolverhampton has just recently been promoted from the second tier to the first....so they are in the process of constructing a wing for their first team. So things were kind of crazy. There were stressed and definitely were showing their stress. Another super awesome facility.

It was funny though. Wolverhampton owns the field, but the local college owns the track. So nobody was allowed to step on the track, which was hysterical to watch them try and police that.

We weren't allowed to take any pictures of the boys because the season was so new for them they hadn't yet signed release forms. So no pictures. This one is at the end - clapping for the parents. Love these boys. The final was 5-2. The first half had some suspect calls, but the second half was fair and well played and reffed.

This is a picture directly after Ray told the refs that they did a much better job the second half. Our tour guide just about died. He's counting the hours until he takes us to the airport. He loves us...but we are a handful.

Unfortunately - no group picture of the boys with the other team. That was my favorite picture from the first game. :( Their facility, their rules.

Happy boys basking in their second international win.

Little bit of word swag and graphic creation. We've had some long bus rides.

Our bus ride to London was over three hours. We watched Captain America Civil War AND Doctor Strange. They were mellow and quiet. Some slept through the movies.

And then we were in London! So cool to be here. A few pictures today and we have a tour (and Bender is going running tomorrow!) It's cute and cozy and adorable - but still a hustling, bustling city.

Our hotel is actually attached to the Chelsea Stadium...we are not doing anything there, or even touring, but it was fun to be that close.

Unloading for our last hotel.

When we got there the hotel made us all write our passports and nationality and everything on the check in papers - in the basement. It was weird...definitely the first time we have experienced that since arriving.

Dinner was at Pizza Express. We pre-ordered, so the food came pretty fast and almost everyone got what they ordered ;)

Such a handsome bunch!

The portions were not super big - so after dinner, Bender and I ran and grabbed stuff for PB&J and some protein bars. These boys are never, ever full...but with a training and a game tomorrow, we felt like we needed to add a little fuel to their tank.

Our cider tour continues. Funny story though...when we were sitting out in front of the hotel, two buses drove in full of kids. As they walked into the hotel there were wearing our same exact VOLT kits. Shut up!! They were from Ohio and were not very friendly - we'll just say they were tired. We won't be back to the same bar tonight - we're looking for a friendly little pub.

This is my daily picture of Zoe - after her chiropractor's appointment. Obviously practice was a good one :) Thanks for the picture Kelly - and thanks for keeping my girl!!

And yay!! Mama Laura sent a Browny picture! Missing his face something fierce

Love ya'll! Sorry that this is late...I'm not feeling all together awesome...but not awful either. It's been an incredible experience. Ready for one more day!!

Cheers!
